New project "STRIVE" strengthens digital implant development
The University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) and Kiel University (CAU) have received €2.3 million in funding for the project STRIVE (Simulation-based Trials for Vascular Treatment). The aim of the project is to develop personalized vascular implants for the treatment of aneurysms using digital twins, computer-based simulations, and artificial intelligence.
The project, led by Dr. Mariya Pravdivtseva, will start on July 1 2026 and has a duration of five years. As a closely associated researcher of IDIR, she will continue to implement STRIVE in close collaboration with IDIR. The project brings together expertise from clinical research, digital technologies, and implant development to advance new patient-specific solutions.
